The Summit Birmingham Leasing

Bayer Properties announced that five new retailers will be opening this fall at The Summit Birmingham.  Each of these retailers will further enhance the unique and fresh mix that The Summit continues to offer and all stores are exclusive to the market and the first location in Alabama.

“We are thrilled about the addition of these retailers. These brands fit perfectly with Bayer Properties’ ongoing commitment to further enhance our customer’s experience while bringing exclusive, one-of-a-kind stores to The Summit,” said Libby Lassiter, EVP of Leasing and Retail Development for Bayer Properties.

Tumi:  With a 30-year history of creating superior products for professionals and frequent travelers, Tumi is recognized as the leading international brand of luxury travel, business and lifestyle accessories.  The 1,000 square foot store will offer everything from luggage, briefcases and backpacks to everyday accessories such as belts, umbrellas, toiletry and cosmetic cases and much more. This will be Tumi’s first retail store in Alabama.  It will open this Fall between Belk and Gus Mayer.

Calypso St. Barth:  Since launching its first store in 1992 in St. Barth, Calypso St. Barth has grown from a modest French resort-wear line into a global luxury lifestyle brand for women. Inspired by travel, culture and the arts, the brand reveals unique and feminine pieces, which women of every age have come to love.  The 1,800 square foot store will open this Fall between Belk and Gus Mayer.  This will be the first store in Alabama.

Kendra Scott: In 2002, with just $500, Kendra Scott launched a mini-jewelry collection for boutiques in Austin, Texas.  Today, Kendra Scott Jewelry is a global, multimillion-dollar brand sold worldwide.  The 1,500 square foot store will be their first retail store in Alabama and will open between Belk and Gus Mayer this Fall.

Lilly PulitzerIt all started in 1959, when Lilly Pulitzer opened up a juice stand in Palm Beach.  She realized she needed something comfortable that would camouflage the stains she got on her clothes from squeezing the fruit.  The result was a brightly printed dress she could wear every day, everywhere.  And from that came what is known today as the upscale, colorful women’s clothing, beachwear and resort wear brand.  This will be Lilly Pulitzer’s first store in Alabama. The 2,500 square foot store will open between Belk and Kate Spade this Fall.

The Art of Shaving: Founded in 1996, The Art of Shaving is considered the world’s leading premium shaving brand with its aromatherapy-based grooming products and high-end shaving instruments.  Located between Belk and Gus Mayer, The Art of Shaving will open their first Alabama retail store this Fall and will occupy 500 square feet.
