Birmingham-based Bayer Properties announced that Whole Foods Market has signed a lease to occupy 40,000 square feet at The Summit in Lexington, KY. Whole Foods Market is the leading retailer of natural and organic foods. With more than 370 locations worldwide, it was named “America’s Healthiest Grocery Store” by Health magazine.
The Summit Lexington, a mixed-use project currently in development, will consist of 450,000 square feet of retail and restaurants in addition to 306 multi-family residential units when complete. Phase I of the project will open during spring 2016 with 340,000 square feet of retail and restaurants and the 306 residential units. Phase II will include an additional 110,000 square feet of retail. The Summit Lexington development is located at the corner of Nicholasville Road and Man ‘O War Boulevard.
