New Developments

With new developments and re-developments, Bayer Properties plans projects to generate the highest return while recognizing that the communities with which we work are going to be our neighbors in the future. Be it giving new life to aging real estate, blending new space on urban sites, or developing first class office space on an abandoned school site, Bayer Properties' developments create value.

Historic Pizitz Building

For decades, the Pizitz Building stood as an anchor in a district of prominent retail shops in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. Bayer Properties is moving forward with redeveloping the historic building and further revitalizing the downtown Birmingham area. When completed, the building will house 22,000 square feet of retail and dining on the ground floor and 168,000 square feet of office space on the remaining six floors. Long an icon in the city center, the redevelopment of the Pizitz Building will be a cornerstone in the current revitalization of the area.
