MARKETING MANAGER
REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing
POSITION / PURPOSE:
Primarily responsible for Trade Marketing (Business-to-Business) planning and execution necessary to secure retailer occupancy. Trade Marketing also includes business development targeting institutional real estate ownership, governmental entities and community organizations. Also responsible for planning and execution of select Consumer Marketing plans and execution.
PRINCIPAL JOB ACTIVITIES:
- Trade Marketing Plans - develop and execute an integrated communication plan across appropriate touch-points, utilizing effective tools which might include print, public relations, events and emarketing, to drive awareness, property occupancy rates and the use of Bayer Services. Utilize innovative marketing techniques to cut thru the clutter and maximize spend efficiency.
- Leasing Trade Marketing - utilizing agency partners and in collaboration with the leasing team, develop and execute leasing collateral, such as pitchbooks and web site presence, to assist leasing agents in securing the targeted tenant mix. Develop account specific presentation pieces as necessary.
- Business Relations Trade Marketing - develop and execute selling collateral, such a new business or community (Rotary; Kiwanis) presentations, to help enhance Bayer's presence in the industry and community.
- Creative Development - manage partner agencies on development and execution of creative collateral; identify needs, compose creative briefs, review estimates and schedules while ensuring creative execution meets objectives, budget and timelines.
- Media Planning - manage partner agencies on development and execution of integrated, strategic media plans. Identify needs and objectives, review plans, placement and post-buy schedules while ensuring execution meets objectives and budget.
- Public Relations - manage partner agencies to garner media attention. Identify opportunities and track coverage to measure success and areas of additional need.
- Consumer Marketing Plans - develop and execute integrated brand communications across appropriate customer touch-points, utilizing effective media tools which might include TV, radio, print, public relations, events and emarketing, to drive consumer awareness, traffic and retailer sales. Utilize innovative marketing techniques to cut thru the clutter and maximize spend efficiency.
- Grassroots/On-Property Marketing - work directly with on-site Marketing personnel and Property Management to effectively develop and execute consumer events, promotions, gift card marketing, social media strategy, property marketing collateral and community outreach to grow the loyal consumer base. Direct property marketing personnel towards implementation of successful marketing programs.
- Retailer Specific Marketing - review select stores current marketing approaches and create collaborative marketing efforts with new (grand opening) and/or unique retailers to ensure success. Direct property level marketing personnel on execution.
- Project & Budget Management - develop and manage spending within timelines for trade marketing. Efforts.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required
- 7+ years Marketing experience in retailer (preferable) or consumer driven company
- Demonstrated skill set and experience in consumer marketing planning, strategy and execution, including brand development, agency management, creative, media planning, research, social media, promotion, product & price.
- Self-starter; intrinsically motivated. Strong desire to succeed
- Must be able to adapt solutions to new situations requiring reasoning based on experience or interpretation.
- Strong communicator, both oral and written
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and use of the internet.
- Strong analytical skills
- Team orientation; experience working with various departments in an organizational structure.
